Ålesund is beuatifully placed by the Geirangerfjorden. Old Ålesund burned down in 1904 in a fire, and was then rebuilt in Jugend style. This has made the city wellknown for its unique architecture with towers and ornaments. Visit the local attractions as the harbor Brosundet, and the view over the fjord, mountains and sea.
