[more]The Amstel Botel is Amsterdam's floating hotel.Moored on the river IJ in the centre of the city Amstel Botel offers a novel alternative to more conventional hotels. Perhaps it's the perfect location for those who'd love to take a cruise but get seasick!
The Botel is situated next to the old NDSM Shipyard in an arty and cultural part of the city. Rooms are available looking towards the landside or the waterside with the waterview rooms charging a small premium. Single, double, twin and three-bedded rooms are available. Saturday night stays have a 2 night minimum, and stays over holiday periods such as Christmas and Easter are subject to a 4 night minimum booking.
The Botel serves a breakfast buffet and has a bar but there is no restaurant on board. Guests have use of a pool table, pinball machine, juke box and Pacman machine and computers are available for internet access. Reception can provide services such as bicycle hire, wake up calls, hairdryers, money exchange, and ironing and is open 24 hours per day.
All rooms have en suite bathrooms with showers, cable TV, telephones and wi-fi.
