Club Catwalk is a nightclub that is located in the port Olympic area of the city close to Shoko and Carpe Deim right by the beach. It is easy to find and can usually be identified by the line of people who are trying to gain entry after about 1 am.
The nearest metro is villa olympico and the club is a couple of minutes’ walk from the exit of the metro station.
Catwalk is a large club and is very popular with the cities fashionable crowd although it is also extremely popular with tourists as well due to its location.
Whether or not you will like Catwalk really does depend on what sort of place you are looking for. It isn’t the type of place where you go to relax and lounge about it is the type of club where everyone goes to dance and show off.
The music is different depending on what floor you choose. One floor plays thumping techno dance music and the other is R&B. To be honest the music here isn’t my favourite and is less commercial than I would like which was surprising given the types of people it attracts.
If you want to go here then it is probably wise to dress up a little as it isn’t the most casual place in Barcelona and you might be turned away if you are wearing trainers or dressed a little too casually.
Drink prices are also on the expensive side at Catwalk and you can expect to pay in the region of 12 Euros for a vodka and mixer and around 5 Euros for a beer. There is also a cover charge on the weekends when I have been and this is usually 15 Euros. If you want to avoid paying the cover charge then get to the club early and you won’t have to pay but be warned that you will most likely be the only people there for at least the next two hours.
On weekend the club gets extremely busy and finding a space to call your own can be difficult. Although it is a large club and there are plenty of seating areas these are nearly always filled with people so be prepared to hover around and grab one when it becomes available.
Catwalk is a decent enough nightclub for people visiting Barcelona but there are so many other better places to go in the city that it seems a shame to go there. It is the sort of club whereby you could be in any nightclub in any city in the world. If you do go and you like loud clubs where you can dance the night away then you will probably enjoy yourself but just make sure and wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to be judged by the pretentious posers who frequent it
