The entrance to "Berlin's newest temples of luxury" is announced by a "discreet logo and a liveried doorman". Frommers describes this hotel as "one of Berlin's most glamorous and prestigious hotels". They say the building remembers the style of New York skyscrapers of the 20s ("Art Nouveau heyday"). The standard rooms are "luxuriously furnished and decorated". According to Frommers, the hotel is "full of grace notes" referring to the afternoon tea and the music entertainment. The restaurants are "are among the finest in town". The hotel is awarded three Frommers stars (top rating of Frommers).

The Ritz Carlton is on the hot list 2004 of the US Edition of Conde Nast Traveller and therefore described on pay 270 of the issue May 2004.
