The room itself was a standard double, which in itself would of been ok to be honest as we only required a 1 night stay, however there was something splashed up the wall, the paintwork was very poor and looked dirty.
The Bed itself was no good. It was a devan double, the mattress 'pinged' and 'ponged' with every move! I managed a couple of hours sleep and its taken me 6 hours to stop the pins and needles coming back!
The sockets were cracked and broken which is amazing has the electrical items had only just been PAT tested! The shower unit was coming away from the wall and the shower head fell off and nearly hit my partner in the head. It also smells of wet dog! I know it was Crufts weekend in Birmingham, but we were out for a Birthday night out and it almost ruined the experience for us. Hence we shall not be returning to this hotel, which is disappointing as it is a listed building. :O(
