E' una birreria storica nel centro di Bruxelles. Producono birra propria, la famosa A la mort subite. L'origine di questa birra risale al 1910 quando Monsieur Théophile Vossen apri' la sua birreria artigianale "La court royale", frequentata soprattutto dalla Bruxelles dabbene. Qui si svolgeva il famoso PITJESBAK, il gioco del caffé, chiamato oggi 421 che consisteva nel totalizzare un maggiore punteggio rispetto all'avversario con l'uso dei dadi. Da qui il nome "Alla morte" nella fase finale del gioco e nell'ultimo lancio. Monsieur Théophile ha quindi ribattezzato la sua birreria con il nome "A LA MORT SUBITE". I figli e i nipoti hanno continuato la tradizione fino ai giorni nostri. A la mort subite é gestito dalla quarta generazione. Il locale é rimasto come quello originario, compresa l'insegna.

This museum is situated in a building which was designed by Victor Horta and dates from 1903. Displaying a range of exhibits dedicated to cartoons and comic-strip art, it includes reading rooms and an extensive library of comic books. There is also a restaurant on the premises. Accessible by train, tram and Metro, the CBBD is open daily except on Mondays. Hours of operation are from 10h00 to 18h00 whilst the library hours are from 12h00 to 17h00 (Tues. - Thurs.), 12h00 - 18h00 Fridays and 10h00 - 18h00 on Saturdays.
