Museum of Asiatic Art

The Museum of Asian Art is located in the Royal Palace at the Palea Anactora - complex and is open daily except on Mondays. Adult entrance tariffs are €3 and summer hours (April to October) are from 08h00 to 19h30 whilst the rest of the year it is from 08h30 to 15h00. The museum exhibits date from 11BC and include pottery, art, sculpture, porcelain, furnishings and more. Approximately 10000 items originate from China and Japan, the remaining 1000 or so are from the rest of Asia. Facilities include a photo-archive, library and lecture hall.

Archaeological Museum of Corfu

The Archaeological Museum opened in 1965 and displays exhibits of Corfu's history. The two main exhibits are the Gorgon Pediment and the Menekrates Lion. The Gorgon Pediment is part of the Artemis Temple and the Menekrates Lion is a crouching lion statue found in a tomb not far from Corfu Town. The museum is open at the following times: 8.30am to 3.00pm Tuesday to Saturday 9.30am to 2.30pm Sunday It is closed on Monday
