Deniz Kaplumbağalari Araştirma Kurtarma Ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezi

Located on the end of Iztuzu Beach behind the main carpark, the research centre opened in 2009. It is open to the public and entry is free of charge, there is a donation box. Pamukkale University oversee the running of the centre where visitors can find out about turtles from the English speaking staff, notice boards or leaflets. Large tanks hold injured turtles, these will be released back into their natural habitat. Visitors can stand beside the tanks for a close look at the turtles and watch them feed.

Koycegiz market boat trip

This boat trip goes up the river and across the Koycegiz lake to the town of Koycegiz. This trip only takes place on a Monday as this is the day that the Koycegiz market takes place. On the return from the market the boat stops on the lake and there are swimming opportunities. The boat also goes to the mud baths and there are more swimming opportunities here before it returns to Dalyan. The trip starts at 0900 hours and returns 1630 hours.

Public Boat to Iztuzu beach

This public boat transfers passengers to the beach and costs 10 Turkish Lira for a return ticket or 5 Turkish Liras for a one way ticket. The service starts at 0930 hours and leaves when there are enough passengers are on board. The journey takes about 30 minutes and travels through reed marshes to the beach. The return trips start at 1330 hours with the last boat leaving at 1800 hours.

Gocek 12 Adlar

The Gocek 12 Islands boat trip is organised by all the tour operators in Dalyan. You will be transferred from Dalyan to Gocek Marina from where the boats leave. A variety of boats are used depending on which one agent you book through. Double Decker boats are cheaper and have more passengers whilst smaller or sailing boats are more expensive and carry fewer passengers. Sailing time is 10am to 6pm with stops in bays for swimming and lunch. Cleopatra's sunken baths are visited and also the boat yard of the Ottomans.
