    This is the site for the final battle of Napoleon Bonaparte. His loss finished his rule as Emperor of France. Principal Commanders were Napoleon Bonaparte for the French, while the Duke of Wellington of the United Kingdom and General Gebhard von Blucher of Prussia commanded the armies of the Seventh Coalition. The location of the battlefield is about 20 minutes south of Brussels. It can be reached via auto on Ring Quest, junction 25, by bus route 365 and via train using the Brussels-Charleroi line. Hours of operations vary by season from April to October 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from November to March 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is open every day of the year except December 25th. While visiting one can either tour for free or can hire the guided tour. Full tour is 8.7€, Battlefield tour is 5.5 €, and the battlefield tour and full tour is 12€. There is a visitor center. It is open all year.
