Entertainment is provided by the sunny slopes of Zieleniec with their frosty, alpine microclimate, while the pleasurable warmth of the Wellness Zone adds a further charm…
Hotel Fryderyk Restaurant & Spa is a fashionable, historic building with a 150-year tradition of hospitality. Built in 1862 by Alojzy Schmidt, it operated as a luxurious boarding house for guests of the upper classes visiting what was then Bad Reinerz for treatment. From the very first day of its existence, through to the present moment, it has played host to famous figures from the world of art – it was the visit of Fryderyk Chopin to Duszniki-Zdrój which inspired the naming of the Hotel. In memory of the time that the composer spent here, the International Chopin Piano Festival has taken place every year since 1946, drawing to Duszniki-Zdrój the greatest stars of pianism nationally and internationally.
Today the Hotel offers 20 luxurious individually designed rooms. The carefully recreated atmosphere of the elegant 19th-century boarding house blends perfectly with the modern design. The romantic, cosy interiors, the plush sofas on which an entire day can be spent in comfort with a mug of aromatic coffee, and the hospitality and friendly tone will leave you feeling free, as if at home. The discreet staff, ready to assist, will fulfill your every wish.
The Hotel has been awarded the Gold Standard in Customer Service (Złoty Standard w Obsłudze Klienta), the Znane, Nieznane quality certificate and the Travelers’ Choice commendation of the portal Trip Advisor.
Visit and be seduced by the magic of the location... After all, for 150 years we have been making your dreams come true.
At Hotel Fryderyk every room is a minor work of art. The present image of the 19th-century boarding house was shaped by the Dutch designer Esther Verheij, creating spacious interiors with decor of which the most luxurious boutique hotels in Europe would not be ashamed. Each of the 20 rooms is different, but all share a high quality in materials used and a concern for detail.
Each room is a unique work of art creating a unique mood and atmosphere. The naming of the rooms alludes in most cases to the rich life of Fryderyk Chopin, as with 'George Sand's Smile', 'Chopin Park' and 'Desire for Feeling'. We place at the disposal of our guests 20 stylish rooms in three categories: the Étude, a spacious Junior Suite, also appearing in the form of the Family Junior Suite; the Sonata Comfort, a luxurious double room; and the Nocturne Standard, a cosy double room located in the attic. Each of the rooms has a bathroom with shower, TV and wireless internet access. Some rooms have a terrace.
At the Fryderyk Restaurant you are served dishes made with the best produce of Poland and the Sudetes, and it is precisely the regional flavours of the land around Kłodzko which make our cuisine exceptional. We believe that the saying 'you are what you eat' has a profound justification and thus make every effort to produce dishes which are healthy, fresh and devoid of artificial additives, in accordance with Wellness and Slow Food philosophy.
On a menu created by Bartosz Budnik – Head Chef of the Best Hotel Restaurant in Poland 2012 – are to be found the aroma of a grandmother's broth and a fanciful combination of new flavours perfectly composed with exclusive wines from the ducal vineyards of Württemberg, and the velvety finish of an exquisite dessert. The quality of our dishes has been recognised in the second place taken in a national contest, Gastro-Hotel Culinary Feast (Kulinarna Uczta Gastro-Hotel).
