Ten Hill Place is a 3 star hotel in Edinburgh that occupies a part of a row of old Georgian terrace houses, which have been renovated and transformed into a modern hotel. The hotel manages to retain some of its traditional charms and mixes these with a modern design and the latest technology. It is located right in the heart of the city centre and within a short walking distance from the Royal Mile and most of the major city centre attractions.
All of the 78 rooms are fully air conditioned and equipped with the standard amenities that one would expect to find in a hotel of this class, including a room safe, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer and iron. All of the rooms also have en suite bathrooms and windows that can be opened. A wireless Internet connection is available in the rooms at an additional charge of £1.99 per hour.
The hotel has its own restaurant and bar and the reception operates 24 hours a day. The reception can arrange room service, laundry services and babysitting or arrange express check-in/check-out.
Ten Hill Place has its own private car park, which is available for guests to use at an additional fee of £12 per day.

Hotel The Balmoral Edinburghmore
The 5 star Balmoral Hotel is located in the heart of Edinburgh, within walking distance to the attractions and just 25 minutes from the airport and next door to the railway station.
There are 168 guest rooms and suites decorated in an elegant style. All rooms are en-suite and come with air-conditioning, TV, hairdryer and a mini bar as standard.
The restaurant at the Balmoral is called Number One and has been awarded a Michelin Star for outstanding cuisine. It has also received fine dining awards and the chef has been praised for his use of the finest and freshest Scottish ingredients.
The Spa at the Balmoral offers Finnish saunas, a Turkish steam room and an indoor pool. It has recently received the top day spa award. The gym is fully equipped with cardiovascular machines and is air-conditioned throughout. A personal trainer is on hand to monitor guests' progress.
There are 10 meeting rooms catering for numbers from 15 up to 350 people. The hotel has won awards for the Best In-House Catering and it prides itself with having the five-star approach to its events.

Hotel Channings Edinburghmore
Channings is a 4 star hotel in Edinburgh that is part of The Town House Collection hotel chain. It is located in the residential area of South Learmonth in the West End, about a 10 minute walk from the city centre and all of its attractions.
Each of the 46 individually designed rooms have cable/satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a DVD player, hairdryer, radio, telephone, iron and trouser press. All of the rooms also have an en suite bathroom with shower, heating, windows that open, a writing desk and fax/modem points. A few of the rooms have been adapted to suit the needs of disabled guests.
Facilities include a 24 hour reception that can arrange foreign currency exchange, car rental, babysitting, room service and laundry services and the hotel also has its own restaurant and bar. There are also conference rooms available for hire.
Channings does not have its own car park but parking is possible at a nearby location for a fee.
