Awarded with 4 golden keys from Gayot this hotel is described as "one of the city's premier luxury hotels" but also as "bizarre". While the exterior is described as "bland" in the inside it is "opulence" that "reigns". Sporting "exquisite French antiques", a "grand" but "welcoming" lobby and a "tiny" bar with "luxurious intimacy", an offering service that "sparkles" in all accounts the author fears, that this "old world formality" might be a "bit much" for the more casual guest or might even get a bit ridiculous. Rooms are described as not being "overly large" but they still offer the latest "luxury" equipment and are "well-furnished" and have views over Horton Plaza.
