This hotel was built in 1835 and is "decorated in classic French palace style". In the lobby you will find "green and white marble floors" and an "art nouveau glass roof". There are also antiques and art "on loan from Sotheby's and Christie". The author describes the atmosphere as "opulent". The hotel has attracted "royalty and celebrities over the years". Several times Salvador Dali has stayed in this hotel. The hotel is located on the Rue de Rivoli. It is a "couple of minutes walk" from the Place de la Concorde. The hotel overlooks the Tuileries gardens. The Metro station "Tuileries" is the closest to the hotel. From there it is 15 minutes to Gare du Nord. Mark Caswell advices the readers to get a "front-facing room". They offer "stunning" views over the city and its sights. He says the hotel has "the best vista of any city hotel he has stayed in". The rooms are "individually designed" with "at least 100 yards of French and Italian fabrics adorning the windows, furniture and beds". His room was "pastel green". Among other amenities the room had a "flat screen TV with 120 satellite channels" and "complimentary broadband access". There was also a "large safe" and a "private bar area". There were no tea, coffee or ironing facilities, but on request an iron and ironing board were available "within minutes". The bathrooms are in "with marble" with "separate" bath and shower. The restaurant Le Meurice is "reason enough to visit the hotel". The chief has just gained his third Michelin star. The restaurant, which gave the hotel his name, is "undoubtedly the showpiece of the hotel" with "ornate gilding, original paintings and Louis XVI chandeliers creating a feeling of opulence in which to enjoy dishes such as koulibiac of smoked salmon with sea scallops and caviar". Another restaurant in this hotel is the Jardin d'Hiver. Here the author tried "the skewered Dublin bay prawns to start" followed by preserved lamb shoulder with mashed potatoes with olive", he was "not disappointed with either". The surroundings of the restaurant are not "as sumptuous" as those of Le Meurice. Both restaurants and the lobby are "due to be given a complete Philippe Starck makeover later this year". The bar is "cosy in dark wood and leather surroundings". There are meeting rooms for up to 200 people, a "small" business corner and guests can request laptop computers and fax machines for their rooms. The hotel´s spa has a "large" spa bath, sauna and steam room. There is also a "well-equipped fitness centre with free weights and cardio-vascular machines". They also offer "vinotherapy treatments such as the Crushed Cabernet Scrub" for 105 Euro. It is no "average hotel" and according to the author it is "unlikely that cost-conscious travelers will be checking in on a regular basis". But the hotel is a "great location" for "high-end business travelers" and has a "restaurant to wow clients" that really needs to be booked ahead. It is "hard to think of many hotels that will surpass Le Meurice in terms of elegance and French chic".

Awarded the highest accolade by Gayot, the Hotel Meurice is rated as "pure luxury" and classified as "among the very best hotels in the world." Having initially opened its doors in 1817, the hotel has been restored to its "original spirit and grandeur" and sports a lobby with "240 square meters of gold leaf" adorning its walls. The opulence of the guestrooms is reflected in the usage of "precious woods, rare silks, Italian marbles and period-style furniture" and the Meurice has aptly been called "The Hotel of Kings". Said to be "one of the best grand hotels in Paris," it is expected that the restaurant would provide a "gracious and elegant dining experience," which it accomplishes with its "creative" and "exquisitely flavored dishes" in the French tradition. With its ideal location "in the heart of Paris" the Hotel Meurice is considered "a must for your next trip to Paris".

Bradman's guide describes Le Meurice as one of the smaller of the "grand hotels" of paris and therefore it has " a warm and intimate atmosphere". It is described as "a dazzling little establishment" with "gilt trimmings and chreub-adorned ceilings" - in a nutshell "eighteenth century luxury". A special mention is made of the "dynamic young chef" Yannick Alleno, who has won two Michelin stars. The article also mentions an "in house stylist and personal shopper service" for customers looking to spend some more money! The article also lists room service, a concierge service, a gym and a business centre amongst the hotels services and facilities.
