Theme park and jousting

It’s a theme park, there are plenty of rides and we enjoyed the jousting as it made the place more interesting than the usual theme park. The place does look a bit tired and needs a bit of an update. Even the shop was uninspiring and the food hall offered only greasy food.

Because the map was not easy to follow, it was tricky to work out where to go for the attractions and the toilets.

The children had a good time and it was worth a visit while we were in the area but there are better theme parks.

A great day out especially if you're with children. I would say it's more suitable for children than Alton Towers, although its slightly smaller than Alton Towers, so doesn't have as many rides. Another thing which distinguishes Camelot from other Amusement Parks, is that it keeps the "Camelot" theme going throughout the park. There are places to eat, although they are few and far between in comparison to a few other themeparks i've been to. All in all - Excellent and worth visiting at least once!

A run down park

The author rated this park an overall value of 1 out of 10 points. The author says this park seems "run down" and it was similar to a "child's pantomime". Some of the rides were working on the day. The park is dirty and it needs a "serious clean up". The staffs are "miserable" and they should stock up all the time. The entrance fee "isn't cheap" but luckily the author had a "discount ticket". The author would have felt "gutted" if he'd paid full price. The author does not recommend this park and will not visit again.

"Cheap compared to other theme parks" announces the author of this review on dooyoo. It makes a "great day out" and is "relatively easy to get to". He appreciated that the "shows are included in the entry price" and that there was a "variety of rides for people of all ages".

The author describes the rides, which he points out are "aimed more at children". He also points out that this is not a "big theme park".

This reviewer found Camelot to be exactly as advertised - a theme park based on the Arthurian legend. Greeted at the gate by King Arthur himself, visitors enter a world populated by "mythical beasts, valiant knights and magical spells."

The reviewer noted that the park includes rides for all ages and thrill levels, including a special area for small children. For those so inclined or for rainy days, there are also indoor play areas. Special programs around the park include Merlin's Workshop and a jousting tournament, complete with court jesters to energize the crowds. It was "stunning" and "impressive". In addition, there is a petting zoo on the outskirts of the park, and visitors may pet and feed (with approved nibbles) people-friendly animals.

According to the reviewer, parking is plentiful, as are onsite choices for eating--including indoor and outdoor picnic facilities. Admission fees are "expensive," with no reduction for seniors or children. Onsite food purchases are also "quite expensive." Nonetheless, the reviewer regarded the experience as a good value: "it's definitely worth it, and we've all had a fab day out."

This reviewer gave Camelot a rating of 5 stars out of a possible 5.

School trip park!

Camelot theme park reminds me of my school days as every year in junior school we went to Camelot.

The whole scholl would piles onto the coaches and make our way there. Travelling from Manchester it wouldn't take us long before we were in this magical land.

When you're a child between the ages of 5 and 12 this park is great as there are loads of rides and things to do and see so it is perfect - however it is not reallt suited to older visitors who like more adrenaline type rides as there is really many that area!!

I would say that some of the best rides here are Excalibur, The Rack and The Whirlwind. Some of the best rides for younger children are ones such as Caterpillar Capers (which as been there as long as I can remember!) and the Kingdom in the clouds ride which is like a ferris wheel.

Prices are not too bad and entry costs can be paid for using Tesco clubcard vouchers. A standard adut ticket costs approximately £15 - the park do various offers through out the season so it's worth checking on the website once the park is open each season to see if there are any deals on.

Camelot theme park can arrange birthday parties for groups of 8 children of more and it is best to ring them for prices on this.

Overall, Camelot is a really fun theme park especially for younger children and perfect for first time theme parks visitors.
