A late and thankfully easy check in. Double room was great for 1 business traveller but would not reccomend it for a couple who are staying more than one night. Excellent breakfast buffet.

The Hilton Leeds City is not far from the M621, close to the centre of the city and in a "quiet area". The author also mentions that it is "almost right next to" the train station. Of the nightlife, she states that there are "quite a few bars" which are "just around the corner". The author describes the entrance to the hotel as "open and airy" if "slightly imposing", mentioning the blue "Hilton colour" lights in various locations. She also mentions that there is a "helpful" concierge desk as you come in. The author's room was on the fourth floor and she could "see over the city a little". It had a "little" ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. She mentions that there was a TV in the room "with a few extra channels" and you could also watch pay per view films. In addition to this the room had a couch, desk, phone, hair dryer and a "small tea and coffee making set". The room had twin beds and the author describes that there was "enough room to manoeuvre around" them and the room. The author says that the was "a wide variety of local leaflets" near the concierge desk, with a lot "to do with the theatre". On a Saturday evening the author visited the hotel bar and found it "quite busy" although with "lots of couches to sit in". She mentions that the bar staff were "a little slow" and that she had to wait even longer for someone more knowledgeable to serve her with a cocktail. Her overall conclusion was that it was "a nice hotel" with staff who were "quite friendly and helpful". She has given the hotel a rating of four stars which is "good".
