According to author the hotel is "home away from home" for "business travelers". The hotel has business center and "22 individual meeting rooms".
The rooms are "modern and super-hygienic". Every room has some "handy features" which "make working on the road just a little easier". These include iron and ironing board, tea making facilities and lots more. There are even "Dutch and English magazines" in the rooms. Author found beds to be "unusually comfortable". The bathroom was "big enough to actually enjoy". For prolonged stay in the hotel there are foreseen "36 well-appointed apartments". Hotel staff ensures that "each client is made to feel special".
You have no to think about where to eat as according to the article you may go to hotel's Le Reflet Restaurant which is decorated in "traditional Belle Epoque style". In the restaurant you may enjoy not just the atmosphere but also "very well-cooked dishes". Author liked both food and drinks here. The breakfast in the hotel is served in the Winter Garden, "a large room decorated with palm trees and mirrors". This may be also "converted into a meeting space for up to 2000 people".

The Hotel Krasnapolsky, which the author describes as a "landmark" of the town, is situated within easy access to the Dam, Royal Palace and De Bijenkorf department store. Originally it was a restaurant, called the Wintertuin and founded by a Polish entrepreneur in 1866. The restaurant of the Hotel Krasnapolsky still bears this name after 140 years and guests can expect to have their breakfast and lunch served in this "graceful" restaurant if staying the "Kras". Back in its first days the hotel had 100 rooms but in the meantime it has grown "amoeba-like" and expands now over a further four adjacent buildings.
According to the author accommodation in the hotel can be a bit of a hit or miss. The rooms do not only differ in size, some are even described as "pretty small" . There also seems to be a huge variation in the standard of upkeep and decor. Some of the rooms have been renovated recently and there are some apartments that have been converted "tastefully" and decorated individually, while other rooms are "worn". Therefore the author suggests that guests should insist on having a look at the room first before accepting it if they should feel it doesn't meet their expectations.
A Japanese garden and a Dutch roof garden have been added recently when the hotel went through refurbishments.
The author also adds that the hotels very close proximity to Amsterdam's red light district might not be ideal for some guests.
As further facilities the writer lists 5 restaurants (French, 2 Japanese, Arab); lounge; bar; health club; concierge; business center; salon; 24-hr. room service; babysitting; laundry service; dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms; executive rooms

The hotel is described as "well suited for business needs" and with "several restaurants on site" it is not difficult to find a place for "meal breaks". The lobby is "a nice place to unwind" and the rooms are "modern and relatively spacious" but not "overwhelmingly charming".
