Hook Head Lighthouse
Hook Head Lighthouse is the oldest operational lighthouse in the world marking the entrance to Waterford Harbour for over 800 years. Guided tours of the medieval lighthouse tower are offered by the visitor centre at Hook Lighthouse which culminate with the spectacular view from the balcony. While during storms the spray often reaches the top of the lighthouse, In clear weather you can see for miles. Next to the visitor centre with gift shop, there are also exhibits and café. Doctor Who Up Close
This exhibition, which was launched in 2005 and has since been proclaimed "the No 1. Attraction in Cardiff ", is open daily from 11h00 to 20h00. On display are a variety of props, costumes and other paraphernalia from the show. A retrospective of its history since 1963 is also provided and features both old and new models from the series. It is located opposite the Welsh Millennium Centre and can be reached by bus from Cardiff Central Station. Tariffs are £5.00 Adults, £3.50 Children and Concessions, £14.00 Family Ticket and parking is provided. Facilities also include a shop.
