Wielki Młyn

Wielki Młyn

Wielki Mlyn in Gdansk is a small shopping mall occupying a building that used to be a mill (hence the name, which translates as the Great Mill). The building is a brick construction dating to the 14th century and used to have 18 large water wheels powered by the flow of the Radunia canal on which the mill stands. The Mill shopping centre today contains more than 60 stores selling clothing, leather, jewellery, shoes, cosmetics, as well as hairdressers and more. The stores are located on three open-plan levels and connected by a glass lift and stairs. The mall is open Monday to Friday 11am till 7pm and on Saturdays 11am till 4pm.

Galeria Madison is a modern shopping mall, located in central Gdansk within a walking distance of the Old Town and the train station. Opened in 2003, Galeria Madison comprises almost 100 shops and service outlets including major Polish and international high street retailers, restaurants, cafes, travel agencies and bureau de change. Galeria consists of four levels, with the basement level housing the supermarket BOMI and a car park, the third (top) level containing a fitness centre, weight loss clinic and a Subway franchise and the remaining levels (ground, first and second floor) a variety of stores. The largest stores are: Douglas (perfumery), House (casual fashion), Cropp Town (extreme sports), reserved (casual fashion), Elegant (classic fashion), Gianni (leather), Big Star (denim), Adidas (sports fashion), Lara fabio (classsical female fashion), New Yorker (youth fashion), Folwark Zwierzecy (pets and riding supplies), CCC (shoes), Intersport (sport goods), wojcik (quality children's clothing).
