Musée Ariana

Musee Ariana is the only museum in Switzerland dedicated to the decorative arts of ceramics and glass. The collection contains more than 20,000 items spanning seven centuries of the arts. As well as decorative pieces there are displays of the science behind glazing and other pottery techniques. The museum is housed in a purpose built building which dates back to 1890 and is a mix of neo-baroque and neo-classical styles. The Museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm every day except Tuesdays. Entrance is free to the main museum but some temporary exhibitions carry a charge which is typically 5 CHF.
