The Villa Communale Park and Aquarium are located along the bay of Naples. Over a distance of nearly one mile you can follow the pedestrian zone along the Via Caracciolo. The park features several fountains and plenty of trees but its focal point is the Aquarium. The aquarium features around 30 tanks full of marine creatures and plants which can be found locally in the Bay of Naples and is one of the oldest in Europe. It dates back to 1887 and is regarded as an unique example of a nineteenth century research station.
