Casas Típicas de Santana

Casas Típicas de Santana

Santana is famous for it's small triangular cottages. Some of these have been extended and are still lived in today. Whilst others have been preserved for their character. It is possible to visit some of these cottages and those that can be visited are now museums. These have been fully restored and have colourful exteriors. They are very small considering whole families used to live in them. These cottages have thatched roofs that are constructed of local straw and their walls are made of local, natural stone.
