May Hotel was the best choice we make for our week in Istanbul. It is located Sultanahmet, the historical center of Istanbul. Is very local and you feel like being part of the city and not just a tourist. The room are very cosy and spacious and if you are lucky to live in the upper floors you have access to the hotel rooftop which offers a splendid view over the Golden Horn and the Sea of Marmara. We spent many of our evenings there until sunset, enjoying the neighborhood and the streets vibe. Istanbul never sleeps, neither the traditional leather garnet workers, nor the street shops which are perfect for coffee and tee and in the morning and a snack in the evening. Although we were among the first guests in the hotel, more than 2 years ago, during the first weeks, the staff was very experienced and nice. The breakfast very generous and their service outstanding, they even drove us up from and to the airport. I would recommended to anybody going to Istanbul for their first time.
