Hagia Sophia was one of the places that we was decide to see during our visit in Istanbul. I have looked through many reviews and pictures before the trip, but nothing can be compared with the feeling to be there. Hagia Sophia or Ayasofya in Turkish now is museum. It is good decision of the problem basilica or mosque. When we look it from outside, it looks most like mosque with four minarets. When we entered inside all become differently - with the mosaics and marble pillars Hagia Sophia is most like basilica. I read too much about interweave of the religions in this place, but everything is different when you can see a Christian mosaics of Virgin Mother and Child with part from Koran. How huge is Hagia Sophia I have understand when I have a look down from second floor. The people down were so small At the second floor is interesting too there are marble door, other mosaics and better view to the dome. It is very important to go to Julian Pillar during the visit of Hagia Sophia. According the legend when you put your finger in the hole and wish something, it will happen. I am still waiting, but
