This is a really large scale hotel that actually needn't take up as much space as it does except for the fact that it has purposely been designed this way to creat the feeling of spcae and freedom.
The hotel is in a good location and has enough facilities to keep everyone happy. I would say that this is a good choice for families wanting to be near to the beach but in a nice hotel standard.

The room are really nice with lots of wood and a big bed. They have tv's in them and mini bars and room service is available 24 hours.
They are very clean and look very modern but the only down side is the the outside corridors to the room are a bit off putting as they are all in blocks and they kind of remind me of a block of flats with lots of concrete walls as it is open and is actually outside not inside a normal hotel corridor as such.

The hotel has everything you could need from it as with it being sucha large resort it provides lots of amenities such as meeting rooms and a large pool area and lobby - the lobby is all open plan too and overlooks one of the pools - I even saw a peacock around the pool one day! When you first arrive at the hotel you get a on lareg cart that transports you to reception as it is too far to walk. The whole concept of the hotel is that is is very much 'open' so that the breeze is constantly blowing through which is very welcome in high temperatures!
The spa is one of the best ai saw in the whole of Phuket as it was in a sepearte building and you had individual cottages for each person who was having a treatment rather than just one building with different rooms. Each cottage had a little walkway set amongst palm trees and lots of water features surrounded them to give a really tranquil atmosphere - outside the spa there were swing seats for people who were waiting to relax on. Overall it was just simply stunning.

The menus lloked good and as with a lot of the top hotels, the prices weren't bad at all - however I didn't get a chance to eat in them which was a shame as the restaurants lloked nice and inviting!
Service of the staff in all parts of the hotel was excellent.

The hotel is just set back from the beach and if you're lucky enough to have a high floor then the views you'll have out to sea are amazing!
The resort is lovely and quiet but nightlife and the main area is only a short while away.
The scenery around the hotel is stunning
