Bhojan Griha

Bhojan Griha

Bhojan Griha, literally translated as 'house of food', is a restaurant in central Kathmandu which promises a taste of Nepali culture as well as cuisine. The grand, 150 year old building was originally the home of Bada Gurujyu, the King's priest, but has been restored from near collapse using traditional materials. The restaurant is spread over two floors, with décor and furnishings that give a glimpse of Nepali history. The food is traditional Nepali, comprising a set menu of mixed starters, soup, several main dishes with rice and vegetables, desserts and coffee or tea. To complete the cultural experience, traditional folk music and dances are performed throughout the evening. The restaurant is open daily for both lunch and dinner.
