Bruges' Gothic town hall dates from 1376 and it's Gothic chamber is open for visitors to view. It's wooden, polychrome ceiling is decorated with late-mediaeval carvings. The chamber itself is decorated with murals and frescos illustrating Bruges' history, which were added during the chamber's restoration in the late 19th century. Admission hours from 9.30am until 5.00pm daily. Entrance fees are € 2,50 / € 1,50 - free for children under 13.

The old Fish Market is just over the bridge from the Markt - pass through the arch next to the Gothic Town Hall, over the bridge and there it is. The market was originally an important place for trading fish but now, whilst fish is sold, there's also a lot of craft and curio stalls as well. The stands are covered and the fish is displayed on old stone slabs. There are restaurants and bars around the outside of the market. The "Vismarkt" is open daily between 08h00 and 13h00, except on Sundays and Mondays.
