Hotel Phi Phi Andaman Resort Koh Phi Phi
The Town Hall was built by the architects Joseph André and Jules Cézar in 1936 and combines Classicism and Art-Deco. The interior is decorated in marble and copper, with woodworks, sculptures and embroideries.
The building houses the Museum of Fine Arts and the Jules Destrée Museum.
The Belfry Tower is 70 metres high and can be accessed via 250 stairs. It was built in blue and white stones and bricks. Its carillon with 47 bells ring out every hour the melody of Charleroi composed by Jacques Bertrand: "Land of Charleroi - it is you I love best".
It has been listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 together with other Flemish belfries.
Open Mondays - Fridays from 8 AM - Noon and from 1 PM - 4.30 PM. Closed on public holidays.
