Hotel Mirage
The Mirage, where the Southern Seas meet Las Vegas, is located directly on the Strip, in between Ceasar's Palace and the Treasure Island hotels. The hotel, which celebrates it's 20th birthday in 2009, is famous for it's South Sea decor, the volcano guests can see erupting in front of the building every night, and it's giant aquarium in the atrium style lobby. The hotel boasts 2,763 deluxe rooms, including a number of accessible rooms for guests with reduced mobility, and 281 suites. All rooms have been renovated in 2008 and standard amenities include private bathrooms, work desks, 42 LCD TVs with satellite/cable, iHome™ MP3 player docks, telephone, access to the Internet, minibar and 24 hr room service is available. The hotel also features a casino with table games, slot machines, poker, betting and more. There are two restaurants within the complex and several bars and lounges, and the hotel offers some of the newest shows for your entertainment. Further services and attractions include a spa and beauty saloon, several pools which are interconnected by waterfalls and lagoons, concierge services, boutiques and shops, and Siegfried and Rolf's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat .

We stayed at the mirage for one night after staying in treasure island. The hotel is beautiful with an indoor waterfall, tigers and dolphins and the volcano show was very impressive and well worth seeing. Although I initially wasn't happy with the mirage because of the $20 resort fee we had to pay to use the internet, which we didn't even want. We did not have to pay this a treasure island so thought it was a little cheeky! The dolphins are also ...

We stayed at the Mirage over Thanks Giving weekend as the Venetian was full. The hotel is one of the older hotels on the strip. I found it truly claustrophobic and couldn’t wait to get out of it. It is situated smack bang in the centre of the strip and is great for exploring the neighbouring casinos. Check in was a breeze and they were extremely helpful and welcoming.
