Bettys Café Tea Rooms

Bettys Café Tea Rooms

Betty's cafe and tea rooms were founded in 1919 and have become a local landmark. Betty's was founded by Frederic Belmont who, in the aftermath of the Great War, wanted to create a welcoming cafe where visitors could choose from cakes and pastries both traditional and continental in origin. Betty's of Harrogate has since given birth to another 5 Betty's cafes in region but the Harrogate branch remains the most famous. Betty's is recognisable for its black wrought iron decoration, its liveried waitresses and its service that's based in an earlier era. Betty's is open from 9 am to 9 pm daily with entertainment from a live pianist every evening from 6 pm
