Die Souks von Marrakesch sind die größten in Marokko und ziehen sich durch die Gassen um den Place Jemaa el Fna und bilden für Nicht-Ortskundige eine wahres Labyrinth mit vielen Sackgassen. Auf dem Basar sind die Stände nach Waren sortiert und befinden sich somit in unterschiedlichen Souks, die aber in einander übergehen. Es gibt hier Textilsouks, Kupferschmiedesouks, Wollfärbersouks, den Souk Chouari (Holzschnitzer), eine Eisenschmiede mit ihren Werkstätten und Waren, der Souk Cherratine (Lederwaren) sowie einen Schmuck- und Teppichmarkt in der Nähe der Souk-el-Kebir-Gasse. Auf dem ehemaligen Sklavenmarkt am Rahba-Kedima-Platz werden heute Gewürze verkauft.
