Im Nordosten der Altstadt in der Nähe der Moschee Ben Youssef befindet sich ein Stadttor, auch Donnerstagstor (Bab el Khemis) genannt. Dieses Tor stammt noch aus der Almoravidenzeit (1061-1147), wurde allerdings in der Zwischenzeit mehrfach umgebaut. Früher gab es in der Umgebung donnerstags einen Kamelmarkt, daher hat das Tor seinen Namen. Das Tor war früher Eingang zur Gartenstadt und zum jüdischen Viertel.

Untergebracht in den Räumen eines alten Stadtpalastes aus dem 19. Jahrhundert zeigt das Dar Si Said Museum eine der umfangreichsten Sammlungen des marokkanischen Kunsthandwerks. Gezeigt werden Holzschnitzereien, Keramik, Messing- und Kupferarbeiten, Silberschmuck, Stickereien, Teppiche und Trachten aus Marrakech und den Berberdörfern der Region. Auch archäologische Exponate sind zu finden. Das Museum ist täglich außer dienstags von 8.30 bis 11.45 Uhr und von 14.30 bis 17.45 Uhr geöffnet. Der Eintritt beträgt 10,60 DH (etwa 1,- €).
