yoshike, 07/01/2012] We had difficulty driving to this hotel as the area was flooded. When we rang the reception we were given wrong directions, so ended up circling around for an hour extra and almost got screamed at down the phone.
When we finally arrived, the receptionist was on his mobile chatting to his friend, he was very reluctant to end his personal call to deal with us.
He was uninterested in doing his job, just about gave us our key for the room. He then walked away with some papers and returned a few minutes later to tap on his computer, completely ignoring us.

[hugoburge, 09/07/2008] Would love to know if someone else had a better experience but i rather felt let down by The New Northumbria hotel. The hotel seemed like somewhere better suited to a stag party than someone taking a weekend break or on business. The hotel seemed to be perched on top of a disco and a bar. It was also a hotel where the walls seemed thin and every footstep or squeek in the corridoor would reverberate into the room. I would make an effort to find another hotel.
