The batobus company has been offering an alternative way of travelling in the centre of Paris since 2002. Unlike other boat tours on the Seine, travellers can hop on and off this river-boat shuttle at eight different stops on the left and right banks of the river: the Eiffel Tower, the Orsay museum, Saint Germain des Prés, Notre-Dame, Jardin des Plantes, the Louvre and Hôtel de Ville. A recorded commentary points out the main sights along the route. A single ticket lets passenger use the boats as many times as they want for a day, 2 days or 5 days, with concessions available for the under 16 and certain card holders. Shuttles run every 25 to 30 minutes, every 15 minutes during the tourist season. A combined ticket allowing passengers to use the Open Tour buses extends the number of available stops to 58. A detailed timetable and tariff is available on the company's website and at each of the batobus' stops.

Musée Rodin

Musée Rodin

Rodin Museum is dedicated to the sculptor Auguste Rodin, it is located in Paris and was first established in the Hotel Biron and its grounds in 1919. Auguste Rodin passed all of his collections including paintings and sculptures to the French State. There was a catch with this, the Hotel Biron had to be turned into a museum to show his life's work. Sculptures, including The Thinker, are placed around the museum gardens, exhibitions take place at the museum. Other facilities include a restaurant and shop. Entrance fees for the museum: non concession 6 Euro, family ticket 10 Euro, concession 5 Euro. Opening hours vary from summer to winter so check website for details.
