We went to see a thai boxing match here and staying in patong this stadium was very convenient. It is located right behind the Jungceylon shopping mall(2 minute walk from there). The stadium is nice and spacious. One part of the seating area is reserved for the local people. We went for the normal passes and were happy we didn't take vip seats. When we tried sitting at same level as the vip(chairs on the floor) we found the view every bad. When sat at a little height we could see better, only negative in the normal section is that people walking around might hinder your view for a few seconds every time they pass by. They serve drinks inside. There are a lot of local touts taking bets on the matches which becomes really irritating. The girls that help you show your seat also sever you drinks(have to pay-150bhat for a beer). The starting matches are younger age group. You can skip the 1st 1 hour from the official star time and the matches start 15-20 minutes late and the 1st few go on for that much time. definitely see the middle matches and the end matches as they are more entertaining. The seating is very comfortable(enough place) even in the heavy tourist season we went in. Most of the people there are tourists. The seating for both vip and normal is 1st come 1st serve. You are allowed to leave the stadium and enter again(they put a stamp on your hand). Overall a decent experience. Also buy the passes before from some local person selling as they give you a 300-400bhat discount compared to on the spot at the stadium. One experience is a must.
