Katerina Xekalou set the Avli restaurant in a 15th century Venetian villa with its courtyard garden in the old town of Rythmnon over 18 years ago. Petros the chef creates new dishes as well as the more traditional Cretan dishes, each made with the produce from around the island of Crete. The menu includes fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Dining takes place in the courtyard garden with its potted plants or inside the restaurant's arched doorways and stone walls. The bar serves wine from all over the world but specialises in Greek and Cretan wine, other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are available. The restaurant caters for special occasions for up to 300 people including wedding receptions and birthdays.

Located in the old town below the Castle Forteza, The Pigadi restaurant is also named The Well restaurant and uses a 16th Century Enetikou stone house as its premises. Traditional cuisine from Greece and Crete are prepared using local produce of fish, meat, vegetables and salad all cooked or dressed in Cretan olive oil. The food is served to your table in the court yard which has a well and plants along its stone walls. It is open from 10am to 3pm and 6pm until late in the evening.

Traditional Greek cuisine is cooked in olive oil using local produce and served in the air conditioned dining area or outside beside the moored boats and with views out to sea. Wines, beers and other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are available. Special occasions for up to 200 people can be catered for.
