Patilanci is a children's entertainment complex suitable for children aged from 2 to 12 years. It is located in the south-eastern part of Sofia, in the Mladost residential area. The complex is easily accessed by the public transport network. Patilanci opened for visitors in 1998 and was renovated in 2007. It has an indoor air conditioned/heated hall, a theatre hall for children's shows, as well as outdoor attractions. The complex supplies a variety of activities and amusement for young visitors including attraction trains, trampolines, bumper cars, bungee jumping, carousels, foosball (table football) etc… Here guests will find a cafeteria where they can have a cup of coffee, soft drinks, sandwiches or cakes. The zoo in Sofia is not only the oldest, but also the largest one in the country. It was founded in 1888, but has outgrown its former location at the Royal Palace long since and moved in 1984. It can be accessed either from Simeonovsko Shausee or the Hladilnika district. The zoo is home to more than 1100 animals which belong to 244 species and also offers stands with refreshments and a playground. Open daily from 08.00 - 16.00.
