Excellent Our hotel has been scrupulously renovated, offering you exquisite restoration work that has given rise to meticulous decoration where classical styles combine until they melt in with original touches made by our decoration experts. Developed in 1574, La Plaza de La Alameda de Hercules is the largest avenue in the city of Seville. Near the Guadalquivir river on one side, it borders the famous Macarena neighbourhood on the other. It is also very near the city'™s shopping centre. The square was developed in 1574, when the count of Barajas populated that marshy area with leafy trees and three fountains. Later, in 1578, he decorated one end with enormous columns fro m an old Roman temple and placed a statue on top of each one, on the one hand Julius Caesar (restorer of Hispalis) and Hercules, the founder of the city. In the second half of the 18th century, other columns were placed at the other end, finished off with lions and shields representing Spain and Seville.
