A great place to chill out. First. There is NO beach to swim from because the edge is a magnificent coral reef. HOWEVER,,this is simply a jewel in the crown if you can swim. There is a top quality pontoon that leads you to deep water and the edge of the reef. The beauty here is stunning. I was in the water at least three times a day with a good mask and snorkel. Tiran Island

The Straits of Tiran is a passage of water which separates the Sinai and Arabian peninsulas off the coast of Egypt. The Straits vary in width from as little as 2.5 km up to 13 km. Four reefs lie in the centre occupy the of the Strait and these are called Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas and Gordon Reefs - they are named after British cartographers who mapped them. There is a large wrecked ship grounded on one of the reefs at a precarious angle. Access is only possible by boat and the nearest major town is Sharm el Sheik which is approximately 1.5 hours away by boat.
