About Airlie Central Apartments

Airlie Central Apartments is a small boutique resort, just five minutes’ easy walk from Airlie Beach Lagoon and less than 100 yards from the bustling main street.

There are studio and one and two bedroom self-catering apartments at Airlie Central Apartments. All are air-conditioned and typically include Jacuzzi, tea and coffee facilities and a kitchen area with microwave, washing machine and refrigerator. Additional features include a balcony, flat screen TV and iPod dock.

Parking is free, there is an outdoor pool and sun terrace … and laundry and dry cleaning services are available.

Nearby convenience stores include Night Owl and Woolworth’s and unenthusiastic self-caterers will note the easy access to breakfast cafes such as Mr. Bones, Café One 3, Clipper and the Village. Some, plus Sorrento, offer later dining options.

The Whitsundays and Conway National Parks are popular features. Whitsunday Airport is a little over four miles away.

Positive Reviews

Hassle free, relaxing accommodation.

Apartments are surprisingly spacious, clean, bright and welcoming. The Jacuzzi is a great asset and the water pressure in the shower is almost as impressive. The location is good too. Being self-catering, you need easy access to shops and convenience stores – and you’ve certainly got those here. They, plus restaurants and cafes, are an easy walk away.

The key to success and relaxation.

Just wind down and switch off. You don’t even have to worry about keeping the key safe; just remember the code they give you. It's key-free!

Parking bonus.

Parking is free and comes with the further bonus of being under cover.

Negative Reviews

Bugged by the pool.

It comes with the territory but it seems that many of the flies and insects in the region find their way into this outdoor pool. Scooping them out by hand can become something of an intensive pastime.

Unwelcome inclusions and exclusions.

The strong presence of insects and creepy-crawlies outside, extends in to the apartment itself. There’s no shortage of cockroaches. One thing you’ll really miss is the Wi-Fi – there isn’t any. Another thing not to count on is the view. Not all apartments have one – something worth checking when booking. There is a shortage of sunbeds in the pool area.

A bit remote.

It’s certainly a relaxing and remote setting, but owners and members of staff are remote too. There’s no reception area as such and it seems that the owner/staff presence is irregular. When they are around, they couldn’t be nicer. Check in is ‘interesting’ as it all happens over the phone!
