Positive Reviews

Caring and helpful staff

According to the reviews, the staff working on an evening are fantastic. The staff are consistently rated highly by guests as they are said to be really friendly, helpful, and seemingly determined to make a guest's stay a happy one.

Right in the middle of town

If you are looking to stay in the centre of Ambleside, then the location of this bed and breakfast will be just right for you. It is pretty much in the centre of town, meaning shops, cafes and other pubs are all within easy walking reach.

Great food on an evening

The evening food served in the pub is said to be delicious. The tasty, big portions of traditionally pub grub are reported to go down a treat. You will not go hungry, that is for sure.

Negative Reviews

Breakfasts not the best

In contrast to the evening meals, the breakfasts are not given the best reviews. Breakfasts are not considered all that memorable, and there is said to be a lack of choice too.

Small rooms

Some guests have said that the rooms are on the small side, and this is not helped by the fact that some rooms seem to be crammed with too much furniture. If you like your accommodation to be big enough to swing a metaphorical cat, this is something you should bear in mind.

Dated décor

The décor, fixtures and fittings at this bed and breakfast are said to be dated. The bathrooms in particular are reported as being on the old-fashioned side. All in all, guests think that this place could do with a bit of renovation so that it has a more modern look.
