That's why our renovation retains the old materials, such as wooden paneling, ceiling beams and historic masonry. Combined with modern elements with high-quality design, the result was an extraordinary little gem.
The hotel is 250 years old and has lots of history in its luggage. In its new appearance, this jewel is located in the midst of the tiny village of Andermatt, right on the Reuss River, close to the Gotthard massif. It enchants its amazed guests with charm and hospitality.

Stiffness is a foreign word here! The hosts are young, relaxed and unconventional. They take an open and flexible approach to their guests. The guests are the same way. And that's why they value the concept.
Here at the River House, the focus is on ecology in all areas! The house was renovated with ecology in mind, from the basement to the roof, and equipped with natural materials such as wood, stone and Valser granite. The hotel is heated with geothermal energy, and the cuisine uses market-fresh, regional quality products. That's very important at the River House.
