About Om Sanctuary

An idyllic retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Om Sanctuary offers a wellness centre with holistic classes, a Serenity Garden with a waterfall, and a hiking trail set in a 40-acre forest.

Most guest rooms feature a cozy, queen-sized bed, gas fireplace, and a luxurious bathroom with a soaking tub as well as a walk-in shower. Many open onto a private veranda or balcony. The property also offers several cottages, all of which offer a covered porch with rocking chairs.

The Om Sanctuary invites guests to "disconnect" by providing technology-free common areas and meditation rooms as well as saunas, steam showers, and body treatments.

A nutritious breakfast is served daily, and downtown Asheville, two miles away, offers a wide array of casual and fine dining restaurants.

Guests can drive to the Biltmore Estate in 11 minutes, or to the Asheville Pinball Museum in five. Asheville Regional Airport is 15.5 miles away.

Positive Reviews

In a quiet area

Many guests have appreciated the location of this property, as it is just outside of downtown Asheville in a quiet and secluded area. The property also has a large, landscaped garden, which was the perfect place in which to relax while staying there.

Has a good breakfast

Multiple guests have reported that the breakfast that is prepared each morning at this property is very good and always quite healthy. Guests liked being able to enjoy a healthy meal in the morning before heading out to enjoy the sights in the region.

Free classes offered

Negative Reviews

No glasses in the rooms

Guests have been disappointed to find that there aren't any glasses in the rooms at this property. This made it difficult to get a glass of water at night or share a bottle of wine after dinner, as there was nothing to drink from.

Wi-Fi not always available

Although there is Wi-Fi in the main building at this retreat, guests have said that it is slow and spotty. In addition, those who were staying in other buildings could not get connected to the Wi-Fi at all unless they headed to the lobby.

Issues with the staff

There have been complaints about the staff not being on-hand at the front desk when guests have gone there. In other situations, guests have found the staff to be unhelpful, as they were unable to answer questions and wouldn't go out of their way to address their concerns.
