Positive Reviews

Large and comfortable rooms

The rooms at this hotel are certainly big enough for a small family to stay in comfort. There are lovely armchairs to sit in, and the beds are said to be super comfy. It's a nice surprise to find an affordable hotel that has such lovely accommodations.

Relaxing in every way

There's not much nightlife around this area so you'll be blessed with peace and quiet each night of your stay. The hotel terrace is a perfect spot for reading your book in the sun while the patio rooms are said to be great for those with children.

Friendly staff make a real effort

There have been more than a few guests that have been impressed by the staff at this hotel saying that even though they are sometimes under pressure, they always deliver excellent service with a smile. A perfect welcome to the area.

Negative Reviews

Needs more updating

The hotel seems to be undergoing some work in areas here and there but in many guests' opinions, the entire place is in need of more renovation work. It's starting to get rough around the edges with stains on the carpets and furniture that has seen better days.

No on-site bar

Many guests are surprised to find that the once opened bar and restaurant have been closed and that there is only a bakery on-site now. They feel a little disappointed but are assured by staff that there are plans to reopen both.

Not much to do nearby

This is the historic area of the city, but unless you visit the sunken gardens daily, then there's not much to do within walking distance. It's a lovely place that's just a little too quiet for some.
