Positive Reviews

Comfortable quality

The rooms and property are immaculate and lovingly maintained to ensure that everything that is advertised actually works. Bed linen sets the tone for everything else and is of the highest order. Beds are super comfy and the only incentive to get up in the morning is the prospect of breakfast. Some folk use this B&B as a starting point for their cruise ship holidays departing from Auckland – and what a wonderful start it is. The value for money here is truly exceptional.

Howzzat! … for relaxed Edwardian style

This is a 120-year old Edwardian villa which has been lovingly restored. It is in an attractive location and close to the city centre, business district and the airport. Parking is provided, which is a great bonus. The best way to get to the city centre is by nearby public transport and the hosts, as ever, will happily provide detail. The bus and train services are both nearby. The immediate area, though, has many facilities. It is also here that you find Eden Park itself where for around 100 years, the 50,000 seats have been filled with adoring rugby ... and cricket fans!

You won’t go hungry here

The hosts are truly brilliant and at the core of this B&B’s popularity and success. They are very thoughtful too and throughout the day they offer free homemade cakes and biscuits … just to make sure you don’t starve! You can walk with ease to a number of restaurants – if you feel the need after that sensational breakfast! If this is a true example of Kiwi hospitality, you are bound to be begging for more.
