Rooftop pool area, comfortable rooms.

Guests reported finding clean and spacious rooms with very comfortable beds, in addition to a compact, but lovely rooftop pool with downtown views, and said the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere.

Hampton Inn & Suites Austin at The University-Capitol was thought to be in a great spot — in between Texas University and the State Capitol, as well as close to public transport and plenty of spots for dining out.

Breakfast variety and approachable staff.

You will find the buffet breakfast variety fantastic - including Texas-shaped waffles - guests also liked the free drinks at happy hour and the staff was thought to be very approachable, attentive and knowledgeable when it came to recommendations.
