Positive Reviews

A great place to base yourself

Daviot Guest House is in a really handy location. From here, it is very easy and quick to walk to the main shopping areas in the city. The seafront is close by as well and there are a number of pubs and places to eat in the vicinity. You can basically walk to most of Ayr's attractions from here.

You'll feel welcome

Staff at this guest house are fantastic. They clearly put a great deal of thought into this establishment and genuinely seem to care about the enjoyment of their guests. They will deal with any enquiries you may have and can give you lots of useful local information. They'll also cook you a delicious breakfast in the morning, which will start your day off the right way.

Clean and comfy

Guestrooms here aren't massive, but they are really well appointed and the attention to detail is impressive. They have good amenities, with nice toiletries and towels and are spotlessly clean and tidy. What's more, they are very quiet as well, so you should get a decent night's sleep.

Negative Reviews

Connecting can be difficult

The Wi-Fi at Daviot Guest House is patchy at best. You might not be able to spend any decent amount of time online without the connection being slow or dropping out completely. This can be very frustrating if you are trying to research some things to see and do.

Not quite as convenient

Some rooms have private bathrooms which aren't en suite, meaning you have to step out into the corridor to head to the toilet.

A few steps

If you aren't especially mobile, then be aware that there are a few stairs here which might be hard work. Request a room on a lower floor if this is the case.
