About Shore Path Cottage on the Water

Occupying an elegant 19th century building, Shore Path Cottage on the Water offers elegant and comfortable accommodation as well as boasting stunning views of Frenchman’s Bay.

The individually decorated rooms, some of which have se views and fireplaces, are equipped with top of the range linens, ceiling fans and hairdryers. All of the rooms have air-conditioning whilst suites add separate living areas. Free Wi-Fi is available in all the en-suites.

Positive Reviews

Peaceful yet convenient location.

The guest house is located in a peaceful residential area and surrounded by its own private gardens. Many appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle yet still just a short walk away from the centre of town with its numerous shops, bars and restaurants. The extensive private lawn leads directly to the shore path which many found very convenient as they were able to enjoy pleasant evening walks.

Charming rooms with scenic views.

Many of the en-suites look out towards the beach and guests said that waking up to the stunning sea views was one of the highlights of their stay. The rooms have been described as being full of character and guests enjoyed leafing through the numerous books in their en-suites as well as admiring the various artefacts and paintings.

Pleasant places to relax and socialise.

Guests thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the wrap-around porch with their tea or coffee whilst taking in the scenic views. During cooler weather and in the evenings, guests were able to relax and socialise with others in the comfortable lounge complete with a cosy open fireplace.

Negative Reviews

Soundproofing issues.

Quite a few guests mentioned that they were able to hear the footsteps of the occupants above them which many described as quite intrusive. Those who stayed in the room located near the main staircase said that they were disturbed by the sounds of people climbing the stairs.

Basic room amenities.

The room amenities have been described as being quite limited as many objected to the lack of televisions in their rooms which in many guest houses are supplied as standard.

Bathrooms on the small side.

The bathrooms have been described as being quite compact with guests stating that they had limited room to move around.
