Positive Reviews

Excellent central Berlin location

Culture vultures, foodies and fans of history and architecture all had praise for this hotel's location in the interesting and vibrant heart of Berlin. There were museums, visitor attractions, monuments and theatres nearby plus lots of bars and restaurants in the surrounding blocks to suit all tastes and budgets. Shopaholics appreciated being so close to shopping areas like Hackescher Markt and Friedrichstrasse. The proximity of public transport links was a bonus for visitors wishing to explore the German capital cheaply and conveniently.

Popular rooms with trendy decor

Reviewers admired this boutique hotel's trendy room design, often saying they were finished to a high standard and decorated in pleasant warm colours. Plenty of guests were delighted with the jumbo windows, some of which offered city views or superb panoramas across the rooftops. Spacious, clean and comfortable were among the words reviewers used to summarise the rooms, which were also reportedly quiet thanks to effective soundproofing measures..

Good customer service

Many guests heaped praise on the personnel, saying they often dealt with professional, helpful and friendly staff members who were multilingual and full of useful local knowledge.

Negative Reviews

Mixed feelings about breakfast

The continental breakfast buffet offering was more than satisfactory for many guests, but some diners bemoaned the limited menu which was short on hot options; there were no scrambled eggs, only boiled.

Patchy Wi-Fi reported

Some Wi-Fi users were disappointed with the free network offered at this hotel. According to some guests, the signal could have been stronger to address occasionally underwhelming speeds.

Unconventional bathrooms

Some guests disliked the layout of selected rooms because they contained unconventional en-suite open bathrooms. Those preferring extra privacy could opt for rooms with a more traditional design where the bathroom was fully enclosed in a separate room.
