Positive Reviews

“Twelve miles from London!!”

The rat race is only 12 miles away so, return to The Marriott at the end of the day for peace and quiet – or a list of activities ‘as long as your arm!’ It's worth noting that many business functions can be executed with ease at the hotel’s Business Centre, conference and meeting rooms.

Tie the knot at The Marriott

The Marriott is a popular venue for functions of all types. Parties, dances, group bookings etc Dedicated to the happiness of guests, not only can they host an impressive wedding reception, but they have a Wedding Licence … so you can tie the knot at The Marriott!

An all round centre for activities

Never short on the ideas front, they are dedicated to your comfort and relaxation and eager to tire you out too. There’s on-site Aerobics, Pilates and Yoga! Golf and lessons are close to hand and you can cycle there on your rented bike!

Negative Reviews

Parking comes at a cost

The visit gets off on the wrong foot when, as a paying guest, you have to pay extra to park the car. It doesn’t improve with an unappealing approach to Reception.

Little ‘extras’ mount up

Wi-Fi is advertised as free in public areas – and it is - but it isn’t included in the room cost. Also, to be charged extra for breakfast seems a bit mean; particularly as, otherwise, the hotel goes out of its way to offer an exceptional range of facilities.

A little night music … is OK

It wouldn't be so bad if, from the function being held, the ‘Elvis’ look alike characters sounded just a bit like the ‘king’ himself- but, without exception, they don’t! It is par for the course and maybe weekend guests in particular shouldn't be surprised to see an inebriated, would-be, pop star with a paunch lurching down the corridor at midnight … singing ‘Heartbreak Hotel’!
