Idyllic lakefront location.

The waterfront location on Big Bear Lake is perfect for vacationers who want to enjoy the many recreational activities available in the area. Even those who were not there for outdoor activities greatly enjoyed the lakefront view as well as nearby Big Bear Village and its many shops and eateries.

Excellent reception and management staff.

Hotel employees received high praise from guests. The front desk and management staff were specifically cited for their professionalism and hands-on approach to making everyone feel welcome and helping people with any problems that arose.

Cozy rooms with homey decor.

The quaint country-style furnishings and decor were greatly appreciated by many. The rooms were described as homely and comfortable, and reviewers who stayed in the large cabin said that it was perfect for family getaways.

Suites are cramped and show their age.

Although many visitors liked the homely suites, others felt that they were a bit small and that the decades-old furnishings desperately needed an update. The old box TVs, lumpy beds, worn linens and towels, lack of air conditioning, and dated decor were frequently pointed out as problems that needed attention.
